Perceptual unmasking / the recording effect
Your voice isn't childish.
Your brain is just
playing tricks on you.
You don't need months of vocal exercises to sound authoritative. Biologically, your voice is already as deep and rich as a professional speaker's. We measure it, show you the number, and re-anchor your brain to hear what everyone else hears.
No signup. No upload. The maths runs in this tab — close it and the recording is gone.
Why you hear a kid
when everyone else hears an adult.
When your voice mutated in adolescence, your vocal folds lengthened and thickened. Physically, you became an adult — and the measurement proves it. But your brain, and the people who knew you as a child, locked onto a psychological memory anchor. Perceptual constancy is the brain saving effort: it keeps matching the sound arriving now against a model it stored years ago.
Add bone conduction to that. When you speak, most of what you hear travels through your skull, not through the air. Bone favours the low end, so your internal monitor is a private, bass-heavy mix nobody else receives. Play back a recording and that mix vanishes — the sudden absence reads as thin, squeaky, young. It isn't. It's just unfamiliar.
So we don't force your voice to change, and we don't train your cords. We remove the distortion, measure what is actually there, and train your auditory pathways to recognise your natural adult tone as yours.
The problem was never the signal.
It was the listener.
The unmasking method.
-
Step 1
Bioacoustic frequency match
We measure your baseline pitch (F0) and how stable it is across a spoken passage, then place you on the reference scale — usually somewhere inside the range professional radio hosts and announcers work in.
-
Step 2
A/B neural re-anchoring
Daily two-minute micro-sessions alternate five seconds of your own clean voice with five seconds of a reference speaker matched to your frequency, seamlessly spliced. Repetition breaks the old memory anchor.
-
Step 3
Confidence realignment
You stop holding back in meetings and on recordings, because you finally hear what you actually sound like to the room — without pushing, straining or performing a lower voice.
The 30-Day Perception Reset.
A fixed 30-day intensive, not a subscription that quietly renews. Four minutes a day. You keep everything it produces.
- Your personal A/B mix Five-second alternation between your recorded voice and a reference speaker matched to your measured F0, seam-faded so the switch is invisible. Built from your day-one take.
- Daily 2-minute micro-sessions Morning and evening, thirty days. Hand on your chest during playback — the vibration anchors this is my adult voice kinaesthetically, not just acoustically.
- Weekly expert check-in Expert tier A real human listens to your week's recording and sends back a 60-second personal voice note. Once a week, four times. Included in the + Expert Reviews tier.
- Before / after measurement Day 1 and Day 30 frequency scans, a blind listening test, and the spliced before/after cut — plus your Voice Passport: F0, range, stability, archetype.
Thirty seconds from now you'll have a number.
